SIA - Approved Contractor Scheme

Expert Guidance

The SIA is the Security Industry Governing body offering their approval as a mark of Quality for organisations offering all forms of manned security. The ACS scheme although voluntary is recognised amongst consumers as a seal of good practice and proper conduct and is increasingly becoming a mandatory factor when considering Security services suppliers. With approximately 790 SIA registered approved contractors in the UK.
Accreditation to the scheme also offers various benefits including the opportunity to issue Licence Dispensation Notices for staff whom are awaiting the receipt of their SIA Licence and the ability to work in partnership with other ACS approved companies for the supply of services whilst retaining the recognised mark of quality.
The SIA’s Approved contractor scheme is becoming an increasingly sought after hallmark with those companies without accreditation finding it an ever increasing barrier to the acquisition of new contracts
